Vergal, is a voluntary organization, formed by persons with same thoughts of doing service to the society. We work in and around villages of Kanchipuram. We understand that education is the main need of society. But problems like education systems, poverty, lack of awareness, less importance to girl children make the education impossible for many children.

Those who join the elementary school, don’t continue till higher studies. The education system, thrusts on mugging , and declare many life skilled students unfit to pass. They drop out. And even smaller amount of cost of notebooks , make them stay away from schools.

In this context , vergal volunteers work for the prevention of dropouts, identify the needs of children, give them counseling, run education support centres to sustain their interest in education and all possible things to put every child we identify back in school.

We organize tours, educational refreshment camps, sports camps etc.. to keep their interest. Our volunteers continuously interact with children to support them when they go down in the activities in schools.

We work for the release for the child labours and support their education, making them join regular school.

We run vergal education support centre for the child labours put in school, to bridge the gap of their lost years of education.

We organize pesonality development programmes for school students involving examination skills, career guidance, adolescence Counseling and education, self development and memory skills, especially for rural students.

We run Vergal Psychological counseling centre students and women.
